“Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.” -Psalm 19:2
The expression “pours out” carries with it the idea of something bubbling up or bubbling over. Day after day, God’s creative nature is revealed in the manner in which he reveals Himself. From a glorious sunrise to the duck-billed platypus, from the wind that whispers through the treetops to the ornate mushrooms displayed across the forest floor, God makes Himself known to us each and every day through His varied and manifold creative acts.
And up until just a few hundred years ago, the night sky would have been a glorious and mythological mystery to mankind. Yet, by studying it, he grew in his understanding of the cosmos. By studying it, he discovered the characteristics of the seasons, invented the calendar and the clock, and launched satellites into orbit that allows us to communicate and share information around the world at the speed of light.
God is not hidden. He is not even obscure. He has reveal himself day after day and night after night. Man just has to be honest about what he sees and experiences (Romans 1:18-23).
