“I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah” -Psalm 3:4
Distance from Mount Zion, God’s holy hill, where the ark of the covenant resided, would not hinder David from praying. Though he had been unjustly exiled and was far (in physical proximity) from God’s holy hill, he “cried aloud,”—he made his petitions public—and God, being in covenant with him, answered David.
God is not hindered by physical proximity. Those who are in covenant with God through Christ—God’s son and David’s son—there is no physical distance that will prevent God from hearing our prayers and answering us from his holy hill.
There is, however, a place you can stand where God will not hear you (Psalm 66:18)!
