“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19–21, ESV)
There is a connection between our hearts and our wallets.
Jesus chose money as a litmus test for our faith because purchasing power is a tangible expression of our lives.
If we do a review of our bank account it will be easy to see what we value the most.
Where we choose to store up our treasure reveals which kingdom is most valuable to us.
