Yesterday I shared a few of the things that I am thankful for.
Today, I want to share one more thing, something I never want to take for granted.
That “one more thing” is you!
I’m thankful for you.
I’m thankful for each of you who read this blog.
It’s true that I would still write whether anyone read my work or not.
But it’s so much more fun, so much more more meaningful, to get to do this together.
I quit blogging for a while, or nearly so, because I’m at a stage where I’m doing a lot of academic writing. With a full teaching schedule on top of the doctoral research work, I felt I needed to set the blogging aside to keep up.
In hindsight, I’m not sure if that was the best decision or not. Perhaps it was necessary for that time. Or, perhaps with a little more effort I could have found a way to do both. I’m not really sure.
In any case, that’s not a decision I can go back and change, so I’m not going to fret about it at this point.
But I do want you to know that after a lengthy re-evaluation, I realized I needed to make time for blogging again.
Blogging is way for me to practice writing in public, a way to think loud, plant seeds, and share what I’m learning. It’s a medium where I get to connect with you, and hear your feedback.
So, thank you. Thank you for being you. I think you’re amazing!
Thank you for subscribing and helping me realize I needed to get back to work in this way.
Thank you for being patient.
Thank you for continuing to read what I write.
Thank you for the feedback.
Thank you for the emails and comments.
Thank you for your prayers.
Thank you for supporting this endeavor to try to make the world a better place, to try to reclaim a little corner of the blogosphere for the Kingdom, to make someone’s day a little brighter, and to try and bring something good, true, and beautiful to this world we all share.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
May the Lord of all creation bless you and keep you and cause his face to shine upon you as we enter this holiday season.
