“Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land.” -Psalm 25:12–13
No only does the Lord instruct the one who fears him and lead him in the way he should go. This man’s soul will also flourish. He will be at ease, as it were. And, his prosperity will be blessed as well. They will take possession of the inheritance—both in wisdom and in land—passed to them by their fathers. This latter is the covenant blessing promised in the Ten Commandments.
“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.” -Exodus 20:12
In sum, the man who fears the Lord will be blessed with godly instruction and well-being for this time but also with a stable and prosperous future for his children and their children.
