“The wicked watches for the righteous and seeks to put him to death. The Lord will not abandon him to his power or let him be condemned when he is brought to trial. Wait for the Lord and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land; you will look on when the wicked are cut off.” -Psalm 37:32–34
This passage is a reminder for the righteous to learn and practice patience. For a time, the wicked will hunt and harass the righteous. It will seem like injustice pays off. And, if this material world was all there was, and the end of this life was all there was by which to measure injustice, then the saying “might makes right” would be demonstrably true.
But there is a God in heaven, the Lord of all mankind, who sees the hearts and deeds of the wicked, and he will not abandon the righteous. David calls those who have ears to hear to “wait for the Lord and keep his way.” The Lord will cut off the wicked and establish the righteous in his good time.
Be patient. Endure cheerfully, and you will see the salvation of the Lord. “For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.” -Psalm 37:9
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” -Psalm 27:14

Thank you Scott. The scriptures you have been sharing have helped me so much. I was beginning to get very discouraged over what our present government is doing to us. The future looks very bleak. We need to keep the bigger picture in mind! God is taking note of it all. He will be glorified!
